Morgan Soil & Water Conservation District

Our mission: Persistently striving to educate society on the conservation and protection of our natural resources.

Our Vision: Improve water quality, impede soil erosion and maintain higher levels of conservation standards for ourselves and our constituents.

Cody Pletcher - Board Chair

Cody has served on the board since 2014. He farms along side his parents on a diversified row crop, hay and cattle operation. He lives with his wife and daughter in York Township.

Kevin Williams

Kevin has served the board in various roles since 1999. He operates Williams Jerseys with his family in Bristol township where they milk registered and commercial jersey cows.  He and his wife have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Jeff Drake

Jeff has served on the board since 2021. He works for Ag Pro in Zanesville and has a cattle, hay and row crop operation. He lives with his wife and children in Union township.

Ralph Mingus

Ralph has served on the board since 2023. He has a cattle and hay operation and drives school bus for Morgan Local Schools. He lives with his family in Homer township.

Margie Haines

Margie has served on the board since 2022. She works at Peoples Bank and is active on the Haines Dairy Farm. She has two grown children and two grandchildren. She lives in Penn township.

Trista Nelson 

Trista is the District Program Administrator.  She is the friendly face that greets you in the office or answers your phone call. She has worked for the district since 2020. She and her husband have two sons and farm in Deerfield township.

Kenny White

Kenny is the District Technician. He works closely with producers on their conservation needs and oversees many statewide programs within the district. He and his wife farm along side his family in Windsor township.

Public Notice

       The annual, unaudited Financial Report of the Morgan Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) for 2025 has been completed and is available for public inspection during office hours at the SWCD Office, located at 167 S. Kennebec Ave.

​

     The 2026 monthly Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on the second Monday of each month at the SWCD Office at 11:00 a.m.  If there are any changes to this schedule it will be posted on the door of the SWCD office.
